60 years MONTAGI EAD
On 30.11.2006 our company MONTAGI EAD is celebrating 60 years anniversary.
In the course of these years MONTAGI EAD had a leading contribution to the progress of Bulgarian economy and approved itself as a leading company in the field of erection and assembly works. During this 60 years period the company was involved in the construction of 100% of Bulgarian power engineering and 75% of industrial enterprises. The high professional qualification of our managers, engineers and fitters is respected and admired not only in Bulgaria but also abroad.
Currently MONTAGI EAD is involved in:
- Flue Gas Desulphurisation and electrical works at Maritsa Iztok 2 TPP, as Siemens Elin company is the client for the project;
- Flue Gas Desulphurisation and fabrication of steel structure /anchors/ for Maritsa Iztok 2 TPP, as Mitsui Energy Projects is the client;
- Structures for Sofia tube and others.
MONTAGI EAD is the only state company that in 2004 was granted a certificate under ISO 9001:2000. This certificate gives to MONTAGI EAD the opportunity to be independently involved in the construction of projects in European Union states, and also the opportunity for the state company to recover its positions on international market.

Montagi EAD was established in 1947 as a specialized economic organization for erection and installation of power and industrial projects in Bulgaria.
In 1993 Montagi was registered as a sole-proprietor company of 100% state ownership.
Montagi EAD performs erection-installation works for industrial and other projects, including:
- Mechanical installation, electric installation, Instrumentation works;
- HVAC
- Testing, adjusting and putting into operation;
- Fabrication and construction of pipelines;
- Fabrication and erection of some types of steel structures;
- Production of air ducts and valves for them and elements for electric installation;
- Ancillary works and services at construction sites such as thermal insulation, cold insulation, fire proof brickworks, anticorrosion coatings, priming and painting;
- Participation in construction of “turn-key projects”, including design, supply, erection, putting into operation, servicing and maintenance;
- Technical assistance, supervision, training of staff and other services for the client, qualification and pre-qualification of installers and welders;
- Non-destructive and destructive testing of installation and welding joints, performed by own certified inspection body – CCL.
Montagi EAD is in a position to participate in its capacity of experienced, qualified and motivated partner – contractor in the erection works for implementation of the following type of projects:
- Energy projects – new construction, expansion and modernization;
- Industrial projects of any type and sector - new construction, expansion and modernization;
- Ecologic projects – waste water treatment plants, capacities for solid waste treatment;
- Other projects that require electric installation, installation of machines, facilities, technological lines and the like.
Over the years Montagi EAD was involved in the erection, adjustment, testing and putting into operation of most of the energy and industrial projects in the Republic of Bulgaria, as well as in a number of projects abroad.

Montagi EAD was the first state company in the sector, licensed on complexity for:
- QUALITY – Approval Certificate No. 3681179/ 19.07. 2004 of the Quality Management System in compliance with EN ISO 9001:2000, issued by Lloyd’s Register Quality Assurance – Sofia;
- CONTROL – Authorization Certificate No. 76/16.01.2003 according to BSS EN ISO / IEC 17020: 2005 to an inspection body of type “C”, issued by the Bulgarian Certification Office; QUALIFICATION – License No. 200312049 of 17.10.2003 to a Professional Training Centre for welders and flaw detector operators and of 09.06.2004 for professions and new specialties for erection and construction, issued by the National Agency for Professional Training;
- “EURO CODE” CERTIFICATE – DIN 18800-7-2002-09 for steel structure fabrication.
