Central Control Laboratory - CCL
The Central Control Laboratory at Montagi EAD is a leading one in Bulgaria in the field of control and training in implementation of construction and assembly works.
CCL integrates in its structure a Body for inspection of type “C”, as it has been certified by the Bulgarian Certification Office with Certificate No. 76, valid till 30.06.2010.
A professional training center (PTC) has been organized within CCL, as the center has been licensed by the National Agency for Professional Training with license No. 200312049 dated 17.10.2003.
Main activities:
I. CONTROL OF STEEL, CAST IRON AND NON-FERROUS METALS, WELDING MATERIALS, WELDED JOINTS AND STRUCTURES, ELECTRIC TESTING
- Technological control of welded joints and structures;
- Nondestructive testing of base materials and welded joints – ultrasonic testing, X-ray control, magnetic-powder control, capillary control, compactness and air-tight control, control of coatings and insulations, visual and spectral control;
- Destructive testing – mechanical testing (tensile strength, bending, impact strength, hardness), chemical analysis, metallographic analysis;
- Developing and introducing of welding and testing technologies;
- Control of electric units and facilities up to and over 1000 V – breakers for safety shut off /FI breakers/, insulation resistance, impedance of contour “phase – protected conductor”, resistance of grounding and lightning protection installations, increased voltage testing, power transformers, cathodic protection;
Control works are done during the erection, expansion, reconstruction and repair of all type of production facilities for the chemical, petro-chemical, cement, food industry, during construction of ecologic projects, in the building and energy sectors.
II. TRAINING – A LEADING CENTER IN BULGARIA FOR THE SPECIALTIES WELDER AND FLAW DETECTOR OPERATOR
- The training and pre-attestation courses comprise:
- Basic methods -manual arc welding, metal inert gas welding (MIG/MAG), tungsten inert gas welding (TIG) and gas-oxygen welding;
- Auxiliary methods – automatic flux welding, soldering of copper and copper alloys, gas-oxygen, plasma and manual cutting and the like.
- Training and pre-attestation for basic profession flaw detector operator – radiographic,
ultrasonic, magnetic-powder testing, testing with penetrants, visual inspection, air-tight and compactness control.
Since 09.06.2004 CCL has been licensed for another 17 professions, related to the erection and welding activity.
